SPECIAL REPORT - TEC: "Clarified All ... Questions"?
Special Report/Analysis by The Editor
“I do not believe the answers requested by the primates have been given,” said Dallas Bishop James Stanton after Episcopal bishops met in New Orleans September 20-25. “I do not believe we have moved very far - if at all - from where we were before this meeting...Where we are’ is ‘walking apart.’” That’s what a number of conservative leaders across the Anglican Communion think, too, and even TEC’s gay bishop has effectively confirmed their view. Yet some top Anglican officials are busily trying to maintain otherwise. The question now is whether all this will make any difference in TEC’s standing in the Communion - and what will happen if it doesn’t.
